Matthew P. Miller
BIOGRAPHY
Matthew Miller is a native New Orleanian who earned his law degree with a Certificate in Taxation from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Matt then received his LL.M. in Taxation at New York University. Prior to becoming an attorney, Matt worked in the tax department at a local accounting firm.
Matt’s law practice involves representation in the areas of taxation, mergers & acquisitions, and estate planning. Matt advises clients on all aspects of federal and state taxation. He also represents businesses and business owners in a variety of acquisitions and dispositions, including sales to private equity funds. In addition, Matt represents a number of startup companies and assists them throughout their entire life cycle. Matt is a board-certified tax specialist, as certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization, who has been recognized by Super Lawyers for his work in tax law since 2014. He is a frequent speaker on tax and merger and acquisition topics throughout Louisiana.
Matt currently serves as the vice president of membership for the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and is heavily involved with the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, currently serving as a Young Professional Steering Committee Member for the organization. Outside of the office, Matt enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his wife and two kids.
